As Israel’s Minister of Education, Kisch’s legitimization of the killing of Palestinian students and educators in attacks targeting educational institutions, his approval of the systematic destruction of educational infrastructure, his persecution of identifiable groups through the denial of the right to education, and his support for policies aimed at the deliberate destruction of the education system in Gaza constitute violations of his obligations to protect civilians and uphold fundamental human rights during armed conflict.
