As a Member of the Israeli Parliament, Halevi’s support for policies of persecution against identifiable groups on political, racial, national, ethnic, cultural and religious grounds, his advocacy of living conditions that lead to the physical destruction of the Palestinian people, his encouragement of practices of forced displacement and transfer of populations, and his legitimization of decisions to destroy or confiscate enemy property constitute violations of the obligations to protect civilians during armed conflict and to observe fundamental human rights.
