As you can see, life itself, the very essence of life, is dead here

This is not life; it’s a mere existence. There can be no true life under such circumstances. Our hope is that people will regain their former way of life. We pray for this from the Almighty. May our Lord provide a way out for us. May our Lord bestow His blessings upon us. As you can see, life itself, the very essence of life, is dead here. Life is incredibly challenging here.

The situation is truly dire. By God, our homeland is beloved to us. We long for our homeland. Yet, at the same time, we pray for God’s help for all those who are enduring bombardment, and we ask for His mercy for the martyrs.

What more can I say... Lā ilāha illallah... (There is no god but Allah). The people are facing tremendously difficult circumstances, but despite this, everyone stands together in solidarity, spending all their time supporting each other.

Everyone is in dire straits. Each person is waiting for their turn, and no one has been spared from losing loved ones. May God help us all. The situation is extremely dire, and we pray for divine assistance.

May God provide us with a way out. May God guide our leaders to act justly. I call upon the Arab nations to stand in solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian people. Palestinians are perishing under the weight of bombs and rubble, and they need support.

Arab countries are aligning themselves with the opposing side, standing by them. This is haram; this is oppression. Gaza is dying of hunger, famine, and poverty.

By God, the situation is dire. There is a severe shortage of water and electricity. May God assist the people in this difficult time. You witness the conditions, the streets, the people. I have been displaced, and I struggle to fetch water for my children from afar. Our situation is dire; imagine, there is no electricity, no water...

The economic situation is no better. The authorities are unable to provide assistance to the people. May God aid everyone; the situation is truly dire.

Overall, may God ease our burdens. There is no food -- no lentils, pasta, rice, or flour. None at all. You see the predicament we are in. Where can I find food now? How can people afford to buy it? People are distraught; our situation is truly, truly dire... Arab countries should stand with the oppressed Palestinian people. May God alleviate the people’s suffering. May our Lord provide us with a way out.

Our lesson: resilience. All schools in Gaza are closed, with school buildings accommodating displaced people. Yet, this situation does not deter Israel from targeting school buildings. An attack by the Israeli army on the Khalifa Bin Zayed School in Beit Lahia, located in the northern Gaza Strip, caused extensive destruction. The profound suffering underscores one of the most significant lessons this school can impart to the world: the determination to persevere until the very end.

A father, clutching his daughter’s bag, another embracing his child, and just to the right, people on a cart. A street has transformed into a marketplace of chaos. Their homes are no more. Returning will be a lengthy process. They have no notion of their destination. A silent march; crowded yet quiet.

In Gaza, it’s not just people; many animals, primarily birds and cats, have lost their lives or their homes and loved ones. Those who survived, much like their human companions, now find themselves amidst the rubble, reminiscing about the days gone by and tentatively stepping into an uncertain future. The photograph, with a child and an elder behind the cat amidst the debris, paints a complete picture, capturing both the lingering pain and the resilient hope being clung to.
