Former Head of the Israeli National Security Council
Eiland, as former Chairman of the National Security Council, planned the use of starvation as a method of warfare by denying civilians access to goods indispensable for their survival, deliberately designed living conditions that would lead to the physical destruction of the Palestinian people, strategically planned inhumane acts that caused great suffering, and took decisions to destroy or confiscate enemy property, in violation of his obligations to protect civilians and respect fundamental human rights during armed conflict.
