Benny Gantz
Former Israeli Minister without Portfolio, Former Israel’s War Cabinet Member
As a former Israeli Minister without Portfolio and member of Israel’s War Cabinet, Gantz played a direct role in planning and executing military operations that led to the physical destruction of the Palestinian population; oversaw forced displacement operations; issued orders for deliberate and systematic attacks against civilians; approved military offensives targeting vulnerable areas; and participated in decisions imposing blockades that subjected civilians to starvation. These actions constitute violations of obligations to protect civilians and uphold fundamental human rights during armed conflict.
